Partners in Care offers general bereavement support groups. Education and support are combined to assist those who have suffered when a loved one dies. Groups typically held once a week for six to eight weeks. One-on-one support is also available for those not wanting to participate in a group setting. The High Desert Education Service District (ESD) publishes "Counselors in Private Practice" annually which lists local counselors in private practice. This list includes phone numbers, areas of specialty, and hourly rates. Call the Family Resource Center 389-5468 to obtain a copy.
My Friend's House provides support for grieving children ages 3 - 19 years who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or significant individuals in their lives. Cost: none. Registration required. Call Hospice of Bend-La Pine Bereavement Department at 383-3910.

Teens Services and Support Groups provide free support to youths (ages 13-19 years) who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or significant person. The Center for Loss is dedicated to "companioning" grieving people as they mourn transitions and losses that transform their lives.
