Kathleen Kaye Eberhard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kaye Eberhard. The good news is her 3 year battle and pain is over. She has shown us a strength that we never thought possible. We know she is now in a better place and has been reunited with our son, Ted, and the rest of our family that have gone before us. Kaye was born in Portland, Oregon June 5, 1935 to Les and Charlotte Large, joining an older sister, Marilyn. She graduated from Grant High School in Portland in 1953, then onto Oregon State where she received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 1957. Kaye (Chi Omega) and Bob (Delta Tau Delta) were College Sweethearts and married on July 3, 1958. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage together. They had 2 children, Ted, who passed away in April 2011 of ALS, and Holly, who survives. Kayes sister Marilyn, who with her son Kevin and (Joyce), Krista (daughter), and Keith (son) and (Shoko) survive her. Also surviving are two step-grandchildren Connor and McKenzie Flanagan and one Grandson James Maloney, Jr. Kaye enjoyed a 30 year career in Education 26 of those in the Redmond School District. She was a member of PEO AQ Chapter, a past President and also a past President of Central Oregon Reciprocity, a 50 Year Member of the Community Presbyterian Church, Redmond Service League, Redmond Community Concerts Board, Womens Board Juniper Golf Club, CODH Foundation Board, CPC Childrens Center Board. She made everyone she met her friend. A true dyed-in-the-wool OSU Football Fan, Kaye held season tickets for over 40 years. She also liked OSU mens and womens Basketball and mens Baseball. They have lost a big Booster. Kaye was a great wife, mother, grandma, teacher, aunt, cousin and all-around good friend. We humbly thank her Doctors Russell Massine and William Martin, Fresenius Health Care, Visiting Angels, and Partners in Care (Hospice). We could not have done it without you. May you Rest in Peace youve earned it.
