Kathryn "Kati" Anne Lindbloom - Renner

Kathryn "Kati" Lindbloom Renner was born on October 15, 1941 in Chicago, Ill. to Arthur and Dorothy Lindbloom. She died at her home in Sisters, Oregon on March 1, 2018. Surviving are her husband of forty years, Vernon Renner, sister Janice Lindbloom, brother Arthur Lindbloom, nephews Mike and Bob Lindbloom, niece Stephanie Ruttert, four step-children Melanie, Julie, Brent and Amy. Kati attended schools in Chicago, having graduated from Morgan Park High School. Colleges attended were Southern Illinois, BA in Geography, Santa Clara University, MA Communication, and an MBA. Her employment history were TWA Flight Attendant, Supervisor/Training instructor TWA academy. She was stationed at Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. As a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, and her work as an advisor to a college chapter, she was proud of her work with young college women during their formative college years. After retiring from flying, Kati taught college courses in the Supervision and Management departments of West Valley College and Mission College where she met her husband, who was also an instructor. They married, and lived in San Carlos for over twenty years. Kati was hired by San Jose State College as a Staff Training Officer. She was employed as a Stock Broker for E.F. Hutton/Shearson Lehman Brokerage firm in San Jose, California. She was interested in local community affairs, a member of Rotary, Junior Matrons, and President of the San Francisco Mid-Peninsula Guild, and served a three year term on the San Carlos city Planning Commission. While on vacation, Kati and Vernon found Sisters to be an ideal community to live the rest of their lives. Kati became active by seeking employment at the Stitching Post, (a famous quilting store). She volunteered at the city Chamber of Commerce, providing guidance to visitors. She greeted new business owners, and had a keen knowledge of the city and surrounding community. She knew the streets, businesses, and places of interest to tourists and residents. Kati could be found most days at the chamber, or at the many events held in the city. She was a member of the city finance committee for the past two years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting former TWA friends, and visiting places she studied in college. She also enjoyed knitting and sports, (especially tennis and golf). Kati will be sorely missed by her family, coworkers, friends, and the community. Sebastian, the family cat, misses her too! In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution to the Sisters Chamber of Commerce scholarship fund, where Kati served as judge of high school applicants each year. Services will be held at St. Edward the Martyr Catholic Church, on Saturday, April 7th, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Reception to follow at the church.
