Meghan Elizabeth Cook (Crafton)

At the age of 33, our sweet Meghan left this earth after a three-year, courageous battle with breast cancer. Meghan grew up in Redmond, Oregon, and graduated from Redmond High School in 2004. She went on to attend Central Oregon Community College and Oregon State University-Cascade Campus where she attained a Bachelor Degree in Human Development and Family Services (HDFS). She was employed by the Redmond School District as an Instructional Assistant for Independent Living Skills (ILS) students at Vern Patrick Elementary. She loved her students and her profession and it brought her great joy to see their progression in dealing with lifes challenges. Meghan loved helping people, everyone she met was drawn to her kind, compassionate, caring spirit. Thanks to all who loved her and understood her passion for her career and life. Meghan loved her family fiercely and it was the most important part of her life. She is survived by her beautiful daughters, Boston Chloe and Blakelee Marie, her mother Lisa (and Jim) Goad, her father James (and Jill) Crafton, sister Chloe Christine Goad, and brother Walker James Crafton, her significant other Rob Sundberg and his two boys (Grayson and Austin). Meghan was also very close and loved by so many friends, extended family, and her church community (far too many to list). Meghan enjoyed the outdoors, including paddle-boarding, hiking, camping, and all the beauty that is Central Oregon where she lived her entire, yet too brief, life. Meghan was a member of the Mission Church-Redmond Campus where she grew a deep faith and formed an everlasting relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ. A celebration of Meghans life will be held on Friday, July 26, at 2:00 pm at the Mission Church-Redmond Campus (3732 SW 21st Place #104, Redmond, Oregon 97756). All are welcome and encouraged to dress casual, perhaps wearing something orange in honor of her favorite color and/or Converse (Chucks), her favorite shoes. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to contribute can make donations in Meghans honor to Mission Church-Redmond Campus (3732 SW 21st Place #104, Redmond, Oregon 97756) or Partners in Care Hospice of Central Oregon (2075 NE Wyatt Ct., Bend, Oregon, 97701) The family would also like to recognize St. Charles Cancer Center and St. Charles Redmond Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion during Meghans courageous battle.
