Nancy Marie Owen

Nancy Marie Cadwell was born on June 22, 1939 to Charles and Ella Cadwell in Redwing, Minnesota. She first married David Lloyd Ammons, and they divorced. Her second marriage was to Earl Wagoner, and they divorced. Her third and final marriage of nearly 25 years to William Owen brought her great joy and much love. Nancy spent 27 years working for Fred Meyer in Portland, and later transferring to Bend, Oregon. She retired in 2007, leaving many wonderful friends she had enjoyed working for and with. She was predeceased by both parents; her sister JoEllen; brothers Clay, Robert, and Allen (and Shirley); her daughter Berry; son David; son-in-law Fred Cantrell; 3 stepsons: Zack, Zeb, and Levi; and all three husbands. Nancy is survived by her son Donald Lee Ammons of Northridge, CA; son Daniel Lloyd (and Elizabeth Marie) Ammons of Crestview, FL; and daughters Christina McKinnis and Callie Cantrell of Redmond, OR; as well as her stepchildren: Miki; Tracy; Cole (and Lynn); Daryl; Jeffri; Bennette; and Ezzi; residents of the Pacific Northwest. Nancy's grandchildren: Daniel Thomas Ammons of Burkeville, TX; Nicholas Charles Howard of Ocala, FL; Joshua Grant Coffey of Portland, OR; Joseph Walter Coffey (and Catherine Peery) of Beaverton, OR; Jamie Marie Coffey (and Brian Grogan) of Happy Valley, OR; Jeremy Earl Coffey-Grogan of Redmond, OR; Brandie Heath of Dallas, OR; Brian (and Rebecca) Heath of Ranier, OR; Brad (and Kim) Heath of Damascus, OR; Sean (and Tiara) Cantrell of Prineville, OR; and Matthew Cantrell of Damascus, OR. Her great grandchildren include Gavin; Kaylie; Mariah; Adia; Melanie; Isabella; Kayley; Austin; Cody; Jasmine (and Roy); Destini; Danika; Haliegh; Hannah; and McKayla. Nancy's great great grandchildren are Oliver; Lucy and Lola; Annah and Xander; Peyton and Ashton; Tanner; Calie; and Nolen. She leaves behind numerous nieces; nephews; and dear friends. After a battle with Colon cancer in 2013, Nancy did well until this past fall. A trip to the ER diagnosed pneumonia with x-rays catching a mass confirmed as lung cancer. She began losing her eyesight due to a very aggressive brain cancer; and her mammogram detected cancer in both breasts. She stoically held on to say goodbye to her loved ones and friends. Her brutal battle ended on Saturday afternoon, January 7, 2023 at St. Charles Medical in Bend, OR. Nancy was a loving mother; grandmother; great grandmother; and great great grandmother. She was a lovely friend, cherished confidante; gentle and cheerful always; she knew and loved her Savior Jesus Christ, and lead by example. Through so much cancer...in so short a time, she maintained her gentle ways and lovingly told her earthly world goodbye. She was greatly loved by so many, and she'll be missed very much. Please keep her family in prayer as they grieve. Her graveside service and celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, her birthday and wedding anniversary.
