Kasey Patrick Williams

Kasey Patrick Williams born June 16th, 1992 in Redmond, Oregon to Travis and Shawna (Daly) Williams, passed away January 10th, 2015 in Corvallis, Oregon of accidental causes. Kasey attended high school at the International School of the Cascades (Redmond) where he received the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2010. He studied Industrial Engineering at Oregon State University and graduated with honors in 2014. Kasey received his Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Psychology. He was employed as a Graduate Research Assistant at OSU while studying for his Masters degree in engineering. His current research project was on the process flow for the production of low-enriched uranium fuel. He was a member of the OSU Student Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers where he served as Industry Liaison and Video Director for their award winning video that won first place and a generous grant in Toronto, Canada last year. Kaseys life revolved around his family and loved ones. Family always came first. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping and spending time on the family ranch in the Silvies Valley and family reunions at Buck Creek in Lake County. As a child he participated in youth sports, rodeo, 4H swine and the math Olympics. He was a very hard worker who learned many skills while being raised as a farm boy. That hard working ethic carried through to his school studies. He was a huge fan of movies, especially the Lord of the Rings Trilogy; reading the books and watching the films. Kasey had a thirst for knowledge and loved to learn. He was very passionate about certain subjects and always enjoyed a good debate. Kasey accomplished a tremendous amount in his short life and his family could not be any prouder of the man he had become. Kasey was extremely thoughtful with his parents and loved ones, always finding the perfect words to show his love and gratitude for family and friends. A favorite quote that he turned into a tattoo "All we have to decide, is what to do with the time given to us". Kasey will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him. Kasey is survived by his parents Travis and Shawna Williams, Brother Kody Williams, Fianc Suzette Vieu, Grandparents Merritt and Diana Williams, Great Grandma Billie Bodewig, His aunts and uncles Brenda (Daly) and William True, Ron and Cindy Williams, Billie Ann Williams and Benjamin Ridenour. He is also survived by his numerous loving cousins, great aunts and uncles and the loving family friends who where an integral part of his life. He was preceded in death by his Nana and Papa, Joanne and Pat Daly. A celebration of life is to be held Saturday February 7th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond, Oregon.
