Lynda L. Trembley

Lynda was born in Long Beach, California to Robert and Eleanor Hall. She was the second oldest of three siblings: Noel Love, Kenneth Hall, and Susan Hall. Both of her parents were writers and worked in the newspaper industry. Her father was a sports editor and her mother was a gossip columnist. She married Patrick Kelly Curran in 1955 and they had eight children together. Lynda spent the majority of her life as a home maker and was a very caring and loving mother. Pat and Lynda raised their family in Southern California, but decided to move to Dallas, Oregon in 1977. They were married for 26 years and divorced in 1981. Lynda remained in Dallas, Oregon and worked several jobs in retail (while also getting her GED) to support her family as a single mom. She eventually took a job as a receptionist at Western Farm Service and that is where she met Pat Trembley. Pat and Lynda were married on August 10, 1985 in Dallas, Oregon and lived there until their retirement in 2006. Upon retiring Pat and Lynda, moved to Crooked River Ranch in Central, Oregon to be in warmer weather, but mainly to be closer to all of her grandchildren. Lynda loved being outdoors and she and Pat took many trips together with highlights including Yellowstone National Park and Mt. Rushmore. They also especially loved the coast and visiting small towns like Florence and Bandon, Oregon. When Lynda was not traveling she loved working in her yard and growing beautiful flowers. She was very talented at making hydrangea wreaths and selling them at craft shows. Despite severe arthritis in her fingers, Lynda also created and sold kitchen aprons, blankets and eventually quilts. She was very proud to have one of her quilts actually displayed in the window of the Sisters, Oregon Quilt store. Lynda was a very active person and enjoyed being heavily involved in the Crooked River and Redmond communities. She was an avid volunteer at the St. Charles Hospital in Redmond, the Redmond Library, and also at the local elementary schools as part of the Smart Reader program. She was also active in Crooked River as part of the Red Hat Society and a women's book club. In her down time Lynda loved reading for both education and pleasure, but her favorite reading was when she could do it with her grandchildren. Lynda's passion in her life was her family, and her self-professed greatest accomplishment was raising her eight children that she made no secret; she very proud of. Lynda was also blessed with 18 grandchildren and at last count 23 great grandchildren that she loved very much. She had a unique talent of making everyone feel loved and special. Lynda is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Eleanor, siblings Noel Love and Kenneth Hall, and her daughter Christy Bonnell. She is survived by her husband Pat Trembley and children Cindy McGrath (Ray), Katie Stoller (Ted), Diana Colker (Jeff), Marie Pesek (Alvin), Pat Curran (Marie), Tim Curran, and Casey Curran (Theresa). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local elementary school in Lynda's name, to buy books for students/families that cannot afford them. God bless.
